"Apprentice" Finalist Arrested

APRIL 10--In what will come as no surprise to viewers of NBC's "The Apprentice," contestant Chris Shelton--one of the reality show's final six Donald Trump wannabes--was arrested early this morning for disorderly conduct. Seems that the 22-year-old Shelton, a foul-mouthed, tobacco-chewing lout from Nevada, was popped following a disturbance at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida.

Shelton was arrested at 3:25 AM by Seminole Indian Reservation Police officers and booked into the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department lockup at 4:14 AM, according to records. After posting $250 bond on the misdemeanor rap, he was released from custody shortly after 10:00 AM.

Cops allege that a "loud and inappropriate" Shelton--who, of course, was spewing profanities--got into a beef in the hotel's lobby, and refused to pipe down at the request of officers. Shelton, who had a drink in his hand, was apparently peeved over his inability to get a wristband which would gain him access to Hard Rock bars.

Shelton, who told cops that he was self-employed in the real estate field, has been an "Apprentice" disaster, a contestant whose team has lost nearly every week (though he has somehow avoided getting fired by The Donald, who has openly questioned whether Shelton has an anger management problem).

In an online NBC biography, Shelton is said to command "a portfolio of properties valued at over $1 million. He credits his parents for inspiring him to succeed and sees himself as a young Donald Trump." (1 page)
