Following their heartbreaking World Series defeat, TSG felt bad for the New York Yankees--for all of about 30 seconds. Because now the Bronx Bombers get to return to their mansions with a "loser's share" check of about $200,000. But for Derek Jeter, those six figures will barely cover the annual cost of maintaining his new Manhattan condo. The 27-year-old shortstop reportedly just paid $12.5 million for a sprawling (5425 square feet) apartment on an upper floor of Donald Trump's latest skyscraping monstrosity (which hovers over the United Nations building). Here you'll find the floor plan for Jeter's swanky digs--which TSG prefers to Mike Piazza's new place. Earlier this year, the New York Mets catcher paid $1.975 million for a Gramercy Park penthouse duplex that's half the size of Jeter's sky-high nest (the Piazza plan is on page two). But Mike's fifth-floor place does have two balconies and a roof terrace with a built-in barbecue. So maybe he'll invite Derek over to roast some off-season weenies. (2 pages)
