Definitely Not Such A Beautiful Thing
Benson Boone cameraman popped for pee spree
SEPTEMBER 12--A cameraman touring with Benson Boone was arrested yesterday for relieving himself on about $700 worth of clothing
at a beachside shop in Florida, according to police.
Investigators say Tyler Capehart, 39, entered the Surf Style shop in Clearwater Thursday afternoon and walked up to the retailer’s second floor. Workers then observed Capehart “via CCTV standing between racks of clothing for an extended period of time.”
After Capehart walked away from the merchandise, a manager “observed the clothing and floor” to be covered in urine. “The clothing is unable to be sold,” reported cops, who added that “the total value of property damaged was $689.30.”
When subsequently confronted by police, Capehart--who appeared intoxicated--reportedly “advised he consumed alcohol and smoked marijuana.” As for allegedly relieving himself in the store, Capehart “advised he did not have any recollection of urinating on the clothing/floor inside Surf Style.”
Pictured above, Capehart was busted for criminal mischief and disorderly intoxication, misdemeanors for which he was booked into the county jail. After posting $650 bond, the Georgia resident was released from custody this morning, a day before Boone’s “American Heart World Tour” stops at Tampa’s Benchmark International Arena.
While arrest reports list Capehart’s employer as “Benson Boone,” it appears that he works as a camera operator for the firm responsible for the in-concert video that appears on screens behind the backflip-prone performer. Capehart’s name appears in the credits that roll at the conclusion of a Boone performance. (2 pages)
