NBA Point Guard Arrested

LOSER: Man loses arm-wrestling match, then loses it.

July 7--Meet Darrell Armstrong. The 35-year-old NBA star was arrested this morning at 2:25 AM by Orlando cops and charged with one count of felony battery on a law enforcement officer as well as misdemeanor resisting arrest. According to the police affidavit, the Orlando Magic guard (now a free agent) stopped a taxi in the middle of the street outside of a club and refused to budge after a cop working crowd patrol told him to move along. The female officer, who attempted to guide Armstrong out of the street, claims the 6' jock "reacted violently, raising his left hand, knocking my right hand off of his arm and striking my right upper arm/shoulder and pushing me away." He was released from the Orange County Jail after posting $1000 bond and posing for the below mug shot. (3 pages)
