Floor Plans To Real Wiseguy Hangouts

As reported in today's (8/12) New York Times, you can now purchase the architectural plans for the New Jersey home that TV mobster Tony Soprano's family calls home. The North Caldwell mansion is actually the real home of Victor and Patty Recchia, who are now offering a CD-ROM containing floor plans and diagrams of their 6000-square-foot home. The Recchias note that the disc will allow a buyer to "incorporate a piece of The Family into your home." But since the CD-ROM goes for a steep $699, TSG is offering you this free alternative. Below you'll find three floor plans--all of which were drawn by FBI draftsmen--of Mafia social clubs in New York City. Combining the austere minimalism of Richard Meier with Robert A. M. Stern's neoclassical flourishes, the wiseguy haunts are an architectural treasure. So, if you're looking to redo the living room or the rec room, consider a replica of a real hoodlum hangout. Your family will love it.
