Prince Is Dead At 57
Artist’s "Androgyny Design" once replaced his actual name
APRIL 21--January 3, 1995 was the sole day the United States Patent and Trademark Office was cool.
On that Tuesday, government officials registered the trademark for the “Androgyny Design” that Prince had been using in place of his name.
The artist, born Prince Rogers Nelson in 1958, died this morning at age 57. (1 page)
