Rats Are Not The Only Reason To Avoid The New York City Subway System

The recent proliferation of videos showing rats frolicking inside New York City subway cars has shifted attention from the most repulsive aspect of Gotham’s mass transportation system--its passengers.

The gentleman in the below clip was filmed this morning as he traveled on a Manhattan-bound F train (a trip for which riders pay $2.50). The most recent review of subway filth by the Straphangers Campaign reported that the F was among the 11 subway lines that had suffered the greatest deterioration in cleanliness.

Which is to say that man’s unfortunate streak will likely remain there until at least November.
