Woman, 47, Faces Domestic Violence Rap For Clobbering Guy In Head With Garden Gnome

A Florida woman is facing a domestic battery charge after allegedly smashing a male acquaintance in the head with a garden gnome, police report.

Lisa Buckley, 47, began yelling at the victim upon returning to her Gulfport residence Sunday afternoon. As the dispute escalated, Buckley “threw items all around the residence,” according to an arrest affidavit.

At one point, Buckley “picked up a New Orleans Saints garden gnome” and struck the man with it. The gnome blow left the victim bleeding from the left side of his head. The man, however, declined medical treatment offered by a cop.

Buckley, who fled the home before cops arrived, was arrested Tuesday for domestic battery and harassing a victim. The latter charge stems from phone calls and text messages Buckley sent to the victim that sought to have him tell investigators that he was mistaken when originally reporting the attack.

Seen in the adjacent mug shot, Buckley was booked into the Pinellas County jail, where she was later released on $5000 bail.
