Cops: Busted Man Hid Bullet Behind His Balls
Live ammunition was found during strip search
JULY 13--An accused fraudster had a bullet hidden beneath his testicles, according to jail personnel who last night found the live round while conducting a strip search, records show.
Police allege that Michael Keanu Brennen, 24, “utilized stolen information on a credit card” to pay for a $3000, 17-night stay at a vacation home in Indian Rocks Beach, two blocks from the Gulf of Mexico.
Brennen was arrested yesterday at his rental, where police found numerous “drivers licenses, checks, social security cards, credit cards and debit cards in all different names.” Brennen, seen at right, reportedly copped to “buying an identification off the internet” and using it to “buy the lodging.”
While being booked into jail, Brennen was warned that additional penalties would apply if he was hiding drugs or contraband. Though Brennen claimed not to be carrying, an unfortunate jail deputy located “a .22 caliber round of ammunition” that was “positioned underneath the suspect’s testicles,” according to a court affidavit.
The bullet was collected by a second sheriff’s deputy, and it “was confirmed that it had not been fired, and was still live.”
Upon discovering the ammo, Brennen was hit with an additional felony charge for introducing contraband into a detention facility. Brennen was released from custody this morning after posting $15,150 bond.
Brennen, who appears to live in a Miami suburb, was in possession of a Bahamas passport and driver’s license--both in his name--when collared. (1 page)
