Golden Shower

JULY 21--In the Florida version of a golden shower, a New York advertising executive was arrested early Saturday for allegedly urinating from a rooftop bar onto several victims below, according to police.

Matthew Day, 30, was busted for disorderly conduct following a 1:30 AM incident at The Landing, a downtown St. Petersburg nightspot that describes itself as “an elevated Hang Out, Balcony Bar.”

Cops charge that Day “entered the rooftop bar, pulled his penis out of his shorts, and urinated from the balcony onto the sidewalk.”  Below, “several passersby were struck with urine.”

Security spotted Day relieving himself and “escorted the defendant out of the bar into police custody.” A criminal complaint--which noted that Day showed an “indication of alcohol influence”--does not address if victims peed upon received medical treatment.

Seen above, Day was arrested and charged for disorderly conduct on the premises of a licensed establishment, a misdemeanor. He was released from the county jail yesterday on $500 bond.

Day, a Penn State grad, is a co-founder of Ribeye Media and the firm’s “Head of Client Success,” according to LinkedIn and other online listings. Founded in 2023, Ribeye offers “cutting-edge programmatic advertising solutions tailored for the local media marketplace.”

Day did not respond to a message seeking comment that was sent via his firm’s website. (1 page)
