Sweet Salute To Ronald Reagan
Black ribbons to adorn Reagan jelly bean portraits
JUNE 8--In a strange mixture of marketing and mourning, a candy company that once fed Ronald Reagan's jelly bean habit has announced that they will honor the late president by draping black ribbons on its portraits of the late leader. Those mosaics, hanging in the Fairfield, California office of the Jelly Belly Candy Company, were, of course, rendered in jelly bean. Below you'll find one of the Reagan portraits, which measure 4' x 4' and can be viewed in the Jelly Belly visitors center. According to a company spokesperson, about 10,000 jelly beans were used in the below artwork. (1 page)
