Baker's Dozen For Boy George
Police found 13 bags of cocaine in singer's Manhattan apartment
OCTOBER 12--For those keeping score at home, New York police found 13 bags of cocaine in Boy George's Manhattan apartment after arriving there last Friday to answer a 911 call about a supposed burglary, according to the below criminal complaint. The former Culture Club frontman (real name: George O'Dowd) was arrested on a felony possession charge after officers discovered the stash near a computer in his Centre Street home. O'Dowd, 44, is scheduled for a December 19 Criminal Court hearing on the felony charge, which carries a maximum of 15 years in prison. Noting that O'Dowd is a 'very social person' who has many people over to his home, the entertainer's lawyer has denied that the cocaine was O'Dowd's. (1 page)
