JANUARY 8--It's prison for convicted Wisconsin thong thief Anthony Scholfield--and his jail time will not be brief.
The 22-year-old college student, pictured at left in a Dunn County Sheriff's Office mug shot, pleaded guilty last month to burglarizing a home in search of the barely-there underwear.
After Scholfield's arrest last April, Menomonie cops discovered 854 thongs stashed in his home, with the garments stored in everything from a briefcase to a Pokemon lunch pail (click here to read the original--and very bizarre--police incident reports).
According to the judgment of conviction from the Dunn County Circuit Court, Scholfield was sentenced to 90 days in jail, though he is allowed to leave the lockup for up to 12 hours a day to attend school and work. The convicted felon was also ordered to stay away from his female victims and pay $8,873.04 in restitution. (1 page)
