Cops: Man Assaulted Boy With TV Remote In Dispute Over Watching Cartoons Or Wrestling

A dispute Saturday night over whether to watch cartoons or wrestling ended with a Louisiana man throwing the TV remote at the head of an eight-year-old boy, who ended up with a black eye when the device struck him, according to police.

As a result, Ronald Adams, 49, was arrested for cruelty to a juvenile, according to a probable cause affidavit prepared by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office. It is unclear what the relationship is between Adams and the boy, whose father reported the incident to authorities.

The boy told a sheriff’s deputy that Adams “wanted to watch ‘wrestling’ and that he wanted to watch ‘cartoons’ when the altercation occurred at the residence” in West Monroe. The child added that Adams “threw the television remote at him and hit him in the left eye causing it to turn black.”

When questioned by Deputy Mark Graves, Adams, pictured in the above mug shot, claimed the boy had gotten the black eye from “jumping off the pool ladder” earlier that day. Graves noted, however, that the pool “had very little water in it.”

Adams, currently being held in the county jail on the felony rap, has yet to appear in court, where bond is likely to be set.

No ghettos in the south? Remember who one idiot, remember who won.
Try "working" on your spelling...
Well I guess we all can't be pedophile perverts like the Weiner man of NYC. With all the fecal matter plastering all the libs all over the world, you go all sanctimonious on a hick? You are a loser.
Five words for you " Kill medicare, we havn't forgotten".
"Working liberal". It's an oxymoron. He's never been to the south or anywhere else. He get's his thoughts from huffpoo and other silly drones.
I lived in the south for 2 years on business. I know what trash looks, smells and acts like.
I think its important to remind Working Liberal, that before the Civil War the South was the cultural and social epicenter of the States. Anyone who was anyone lived, did business, and socialized in the South. It's a shame that the after the War the president at the time had no interest in rebuilding the South economically, and we still suffer from that today. I'd like to also point out that Southerners are the most distinct culture and not for the wrong reasons that I am sure, you as a Northerner would be happy to note. No one finds your accents, your mannerisms, or your overall rude and dismissive attitude charming. There are bad apples in every State in the US, and I am particularly tired of Southerners being treated as second class citizens by our Northern neighbors. Especially ones who don't know the different between the word "one" and "won". And you have the nerve to call us stupid.
I really shouldn't generalize the whole South. Sorry if I offended you. I was really just getting my jollies upseting our new new TSGers.
You must have been too dumb to get a better job in a better place. I can't believe all inclusive, fair minded, Working Liberal is actually denigrating all of the southern half of America just because he didn't like where he worked. I'm sure he didn't work in every single place in the south. There is no trash in New York, Buffalo, Camden, Philidelphia, New Jersey, D.C. or California?
There is. I was just being a weiner. Sorry
