AUGUST 2--Actress Ellen Barkin, who scored tens of millions in a divorce settlement with Ron Perelman, is suing her ex-husband for $3.4 million more, claiming that the billionaire has reneged on a deal to finance her film production company. In a New York State Supreme Court complaint, Barkin's Applehead Pictures alleges that Perelman, 64, has breached the terms of an agreement signed in February 2006, around the time the couple's divorce was finalized. According to the August 1 lawsuit, a copy of which you'll find below, Perelman agreed to invest about $4 million into the company, which is owned by the businessman, Barkin, and the actress's brother George. After an initial investment of $468,160 in late-2005, Perelman has failed to make any subsequent payments and has ignored requests that he deliver the required capital contributions. Barkin, 53, and Perelman divorced after five years of marriage, with the star receiving a settlement that press reports have put at between $20 and $60 million. (5 pages)
