Two Texas residents were indicted today for allegedly swiping pieces of the space shuttle Columbia that fell to earth following Saturday's explosion.
In separate cases, Merrie Hipp, 43, and Bradley Justin Gaudet, 23, were charged with theft of government property. Hipp allegedly stole a circuit board, while Gaudet has been charged with taking a piece of thermal insulating fabric.
The felony theft charge carries a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
