Anniversary Bash Results In Wife's Arrest
Cops: Hubby battered after forgetting wed date
MARCH 23--A Florida woman attacked her husband when he forgot the couple’s wedding anniversary this week, according to police who busted the alleged assailant on a battery charge.
Carol Stone, 35, was arrested Wednesday after a dispute with her spouse turned violent. The couple began quarreling because Stone felt victim Ronnie Alexander, 41, “forgot their wedding anniversary.”
Alexander told police that the couple’s argument began in the morning and continued when he returned home from work with a rose in hand. Alexander added that he also “planned to rent a hotel room for the weekend to celebrate their anniversary.”
Police charge that Stone, seen at right, struck Alexander multiple times, leaving him with scratches on his neck and chest. Stone also allegedly shoved her husband to the ground in the Zephyrhills home the couple shares with their three-month-old son and Stone's young daughter.
During police questioning, Stone reportedly admitted that she “flipped the shit out” on her husband.
Investigators say that Alexander recorded part of the attack on his cell phone. The video shows Stone “quickly approaching” her spouse and then striking him “multiple times on his head and face.” While enduring the blows, “Ronnie states multiple times, ‘Stop hitting me,’” cops added.
Charged with misdemeanor domestic battery, Stone spent a day in the Pasco County jail before securing her release around 9 PM last night.
A judge has ordered Stone, a Wells Fargo bank teller, to have no contact with Alexander while the criminal case is pending, according to court records. (2 pages)
