The new charges stem from the ex-New Jersey Net's alleged attempt to cover up the accidental shooting of Christofi, 55. Williams was charged with witness tampering, hindering apprehension, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and two counts of tampering with evidence. Two other men--Kent Culuko and John Gordnick--were also charged in connection with the cover up bid. Prosecutors claim that after Williams, 34, shot Christofi, he "began to engage in conduct designed to cover up his crime in a number of ways." The following probable cause affidavits describe that desperate attempt, one which allegedly saw Williams and his codefendants try to place Christofi's fingerprints on the shotgun in an attempt to make the shooting appear to be a suicide.
