NOVEMBER 11--Claiming that his impeachment was an "egregious abuse of the Constitution and law and history of our country," former President Bill Clinton yesterday blasted the contention that his presidency will be permanently tarred by his Oval Office frolics with Monica Lewinsky.

Addressing a Hofstra University conference on his White House years, Clinton strongly disagreed with historian Douglas Brinkley's previous contention that, if not for his affair with the ex-intern, Clinton would be judged a great president "Now if you want to hold it against me that I did something wrong, that's a fair deal. If you do that, then you have a whole lot of other questions, which is how many other presidents do you have to downgrade," said Clinton.

Since it seems that the Clinton-Lewinsky saga will not soon fade into history, we've decided to reprise some of our favorite documents from the scandal, material that was included among the 2800 pages of records provided to the House judiciary committee by Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr.
