For Whom The Wrath Tolls

JUNE 21--TSG loves nothing more than to provide a forum for the aggrieved, from those offended by a fellow motorist's license plate to disappointed visitors to a national memorial. But nothing beats the complaints lodged against everyone's favorite civil servant, the harried thruway toll taker. We've already provided a sampling of recent complaints sent to New York officials about the Empire State's surly toll takers, and below you'll find similar--and equally hilarious--letters sent during the past year to the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority. Seems that these coin jockeys--if you can believe it--are prone to profane outbursts, threatening behavior, and other aberrant conduct (or at least that's what Bay State drivers claim). Make sure to read them all--our favorite is from the poor woman with the "disabled left hand." (15 pages)
