Swing Battery

MAY 19--After his girlfriend expressed interest in going to a “swingers club,” a Florida Man allegedly struck her in the face multiple times, according to police.

Cops say that Zacharie Nelson, 32, and the victim got into a 1 AM argument last Tuesday in their residence at the Palm Grove Village mobile home park in Pinellas Park.

Nelson, seen at right, reportedly told police that the “physical altercation” stemmed from an argument “in relation to the victim...expressing interest in going to a ‘swingers club.’”

Investigators allege that the 275-pound Nelson struck his girlfriend of four years in the “cheek/chin” three or four times. The victim suffered “minor redness on her face,” cops reported in an arrest affidavit.

Charged with domestic battery, a misdemeanor, Nelson was released from the county lockup on his own recognizance. A judge ordered him to be outfitted with a bracelet that monitors alcohol consumption.

Since the victim has sought continued contact with Nelson, he is not barred from returning to the residence they shared. (1 page)
