Sopranos Stars Barred From Parade

Cast members from "The Sopranos" will not be allowed to march in this year's Columbus Day Parade in New York City. Claiming that the hit HBO drama portrays "the Italian-American subculture in the most unfavorable light," the Columbus Citizens Foundation filed this federal court petition seeking a temporary restraining order barring Mayor Michael Bloomberg from marching on October 14 with actors Dominic Chianese (Corrado Soprano) and Lorraine Bracco (Dr. Jennifer Melfi). Since city lawyers did not dispute the parade group's right to decide who's allowed to march, Judge Jed Rakoff said that he did not have to issue a formal ruling on the foundation's request for a restraining order. Bloomberg has said he would not participate in the parade if Chianese and Bracco were excluded. (7 pages)

This septuagenarian skell has been leading the anti-Sopranos brugad.

We would've made Paulie Walnuts the Grand Marshal.
