Here's a couple of TSG's favorite World War II documents. First, you'll find the telegram Winston Churchill sent Franklin Roosevelt describing some of the British Prime Minister's activity following D-Day. The cheery tone, though, seems befitting of a postcard rather than a dispatch from a destroyer off Normandy. We've also included a "safe conduct" leaflet dropped on German positions during the 1944 assault. (2 pages)
Speaking of Nazis, we don't know if this letter is legit (it ran in the November 2 issue of New York's Daily News), but Pat Buchanan could do without supporters carrying such a, um, distinctive surname.Kudos to our pal Frankie Bones for calling this to TSG's attention. (1 page)
