Mug Shot To Headshot For Model Wannabe

POPPED: Dad oversees preteen boozy, bawdy birthday bash

FEBRUARY 12--Here's one headshot that Shandi Sullivan, the gawky star of "America's Next Top Model," would probably prefer wasn't in her portfolio. Sullivan, a 21-year-old finalist on the UPN show created by Tyra Banks, was arrested in May 2001 and charged with burglarizing a Kansas City candy store called Mr. Bulky's (she was eventually placed on two years probation after pleading to the heist). According to this Kansas City Police Department report, Sullivan stole $650, a fax machine, and a small safe from Mr. Bulky's. The burgling took place after the candy shop closed at about 10 PM one night and was discovered the following morning when the manager was opening the business (cops found no sign of forced entry). Sullivan is one of the reality program's remaining seven contestants (down from 12), who are competing for a modeling contract and other prizes. During Tuesday night's show, Sullivan made a passing reference to her prior legal scrape. (3 pages)
