Dorothy Zauhar, a divorcee from Duluth, thought she had met the man of her dreams. Richard McNutt was a charming 64-year-old Harvard-educated millionaire who had quickly swept the 56-year-old Minnesota woman off her feet. But the couple's fairy tale romance collapsed when Zauhar decided that McNutt didn't want a wife, he wanted a kidney. The sad tale of an alleged "theft by swindle of a body organ" is described in this excerpt from a lawsuit filed in late-October. (7 pages)
