Illicit Wendy's

AUGUST 13--As other diners looked on, a 71-year-old man perused child pornography on his laptop while seated inside a Wendy’s, according to Indiana police who arrested the man on a felony charge.

Upon receiving a complaint Friday about a patron viewing illicit images inside the Wendy’s in Loogootee, a city about 100 miles from Indianapolis, cops confronted suspect Timothy Guy. When asked for his consent for a police search of his computer and an external hard drive, Guy, who was seated in a rear booth, reportedly agreed.

When a patrolman asked if there were any “images that should not be on the computer,” Guy replied that there were photos of “unclad women.” A customer had told a Wendy’s manager that the suspect was “looking at pictures of young girls both naked and some in just a bra and panties.”

The subsequent review of Guy’s electronics located multiple images of nude underage girls, with some appearing younger than 12-years-old, according to a probable cause affidavit filed today in Circuit Court.

After finding the photos, police received a search warrant to raid Guy’s home in Loogootee. Investigators seized tablet computers, cameras, “several cases of flash drives,” and an external hard drive. The contents of the seized material has not been disclosed.

Guy was charged with possession of child pornography and booked into the Martin County jail, where the above mug shot was snapped. (3 pages)
