Florida Couple's Salad Days Are Over

MAY 28--Meet Sandra and Darryl Garner. The Florida couple's Memorial Day party came to a screeching halt when Sandra started beefing that Darryl had prepared too much salad. After Darryl, 56, asked the guests to leave, the Garners began to squabble. Darryl punched some holes in the wall while Sandra, 56, landed a few blows of her own--on her ex-cop husband's noggin. When officers responded to the domestic dispute, Sandra was nabbed for spousal battery. After his wife was carted away, Darryl himself was pinched when he was spotted walking toward the police station with a loaded gun in his hand. After a brief stay in the Pinellas County jail, the Garners were released, and now face an assortment of criminal charges stemming from their holiday salad spat. (1 page)
