MAY 27--Ted Kaczynski recently filed--and then quickly abandoned--a legal request for the return of unspecified "property that was seized for use as evidence in my criminal case." We're not too interested in the loony Unabomber's pleadings, but we did take note of the below proof of service he filed last month in U.S. District Court in Sacramento. In the document, Kaczynski, serving life for his deadly mail bombing spree, meticulously describes the procedure he followed to serve motion papers on federal prosecutors. Though Kaczynski resides at the supermax penitentiary in Florence, Colorado, it's still creepy to imagine him preparing any parcel for the U.S. Mail system. (1 page)
And then, there were those letters TO the Unabomber.
