Bug-Eyed Bandits Sought

FEBRUARY 28--Georgia cops are searching for a pair of young female robbers who yesterday stuck up a Bank of America branch wearing only fashionable bug-eyed sunglasses to disguise themselves. As seen in the below surveillance camera photos, it likely won't be long before the women are arrested, since the sunglasses (which have been popularized by the likes of Nicole Richie and the Olsen twins) do little to mask their identities. According to police, the smiling women--who are estimated to be between 16 and 24--handed a teller a note demanding money and walked off with an undisclosed amount of cash. It does not appear that they were armed. While investigators have received 'numerous' tips from the public, Cobb County Police Department spokesman Wayne Delk told TSG that no busts have occurred. Yet. But in defense of the dopey duo, they at least opted for a disguise, however minimal. Some robbers opt for just talking on a cell phone. (2 pages)
