Naomi Campbell's Tabloid Drug Tangle
Our favorite irascible supermodel, Naomi Campbell, issuing a British tabloid for allegedly violating her privacy by photographing her leaving a Narcotics Anonymous meeting last year. As part of her London High Court lawsuit against the Daily Mirror, the 31-year-old Campbell filed this detailed witness statement describing the "distress and anger" she's felt since the tabloid published a front-page story headlined, "Naomi: I am a drug addict." While acknowledging her drug abuse problem, Campbell states that the Mirror's photos and stories "made it more difficult for me to get the assistance that I need. "Mirror attorney Desmond Browne counters that Campbell is an inveterate publicity hound who "sacrificed her right to anonymity by using illegal drugs and claiming she was drug free." (15 pages)
Naomi: Handy with a phone.
