Face Behind The Name: Meet Yasir Mehmood, Accused Fraudster And Fan Of Masturbation Furniture
Meet Yasir Mehmood.
As TSG reported last week, the California resident was charged this month with stealing the “identification, credit card, and financial information” of various victims, which he used to buy, among other things, two pieces of “masturbation furniture.”
According to federal agents, Mehmood, 40, used the checking account of one victim to purchase $341.84 worth of products from Interactive Life Forms, producer of the “Fleshlight” series of sex toys. Mehmood bought a pair of “mounts” into which a “Fleshlight” is plugged (the “On a Mission” and “Two-Play” models).
Investigators found both “mounts” during an April 3 search of the Sacramento home of Mehmood, who is pictured above in a United States Marshals Service mug shot.
Mehmood, who has been locked up for the past week, appeared yesterday in federal court, where a magistrate--over Department of Justice objections--set his bond at $50,000 (to be secured by his mother’s home). Prosecutors contend that Mehmood--who is facing 29 felony counts--is a flight risk, and have pointed to his “significant foreign ties” and ownership of a residence in Pakistan as reasons to keep him incarcerated before trial.
