Cops Arrrest Chicago Man Who Posted Facebook Photo Of Young Daughter Bound With Tape

12/21 UPDATE: A judge today ordered Curry held in the Cook County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. If released from custody, the Applebee’s employee may not have contact with his 22-month-old daughter (or any other child under the age of 18) during the pendency of his case.

Police have arrested a Chicago man on domestic battery charges for allegedly using painter's tape to bind his one-year-old daughter’s wrists, ankles, and mouth. He then posted a photo of the bound girl to his Facebook page, a disturbing image that went viral this week and prompted outrage.

Cops yesterday afternoon busted Andre Curry, 21, on the felony rap. He is expected to appear in court later today. Curry is pictured in the Chicago Police Department mug shot at right.

The photo of Curry’s daughter, seen below, was uploaded last week to Curry’s Facebook page along with the caption, “This is wut happens wen my baby hits me back. ; ).”

Soon after the December 13 image was posted, several of Curry’s Facebook friends harshly criticized him. “U goin to jail,” one woman wrote.

In a TSG interview, another of Curry’s Facebook friends, Je’Vanna Cobbins, said she believed Curry was just “playing around,” adding that he would “never do anything to harm anyone.”
