Akon Ties One On

 

DECEMBER 6--The R&B singer Akon opted for the preppy look when he posed this week for a mug shot in upstate New York.

Akon (real name: Aliaune Damala Thiam) was photographed by cops when he appeared in a Fishkill court to enter a not guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child. During a June concert, the 34-year-old Akon tossed a 15-year-old teenage fan off the stage at Dutchess Stadium after the boy was apparently fingered for throwing something at the performer. Police began probing Akon after camera phone video of the incident surfaced online.

Akon is next due I court on January 16. (1 page)
