AUGUST 29--A Minnesota teenager was arrested today and charged with unleashing the computer virus that has caused havoc on the Internet and in e-mail boxes nationwide.
Jeffrey Lee Parson, an 18-year-old known online as "teekid," admitted to FBI agents that he tweaked the original "Blaster" virus and used the variant to infect the computers of unsuspecting victims, according to a criminal complaint.
During a raid at Parson's Hopkins, Minnesota home, federal agents carted off seven computers, which are now undergoing a forensic analysis. (10 pages)
