The controversial post-retirement package provided to former General Electric boss Jack Welch is outlined in this nifty color-coded chart.
Details of Welch's compensation deal surfaced recently in a court filing made by his wife in connection with the couple's ongoing divorce proceeding in Connecticut's Superior Court. Lawyers for Jane Welch compiled the chart in an effort to highlight the businessman's GE perks.
In the face of a barrage of criticism about the package, Welch wrote in today's (9/16) Wall Street Journal that he has asked GE's board to eliminate "everything except the traditional office and administrative support given for decades to all retired GE chairmen and vice chairmen." (3 pages)
