SCREAM: Scariest mug shot. Ever.
JUNE 26--With David Carradine poised to resurrect his career with the title role in "Kill Bill," Quentin Tarantino's much-anticipated new film, the former "Kung Fu" star is facing shocking charges leveled by his most recent ex-wife, with whom the 66-year-old is fighting over financial terms of the couple's 2001 divorce agreement. Until earlier this year, the legal dispute between the actor and Marina Carradine, his fourth wife, had been a civil affair, sticking to Marina's contention that her ex repeatedly failed to pay monies owed to her. But after Carradine filed a Los Angeles Superior Court declaration ridiculing Marina's acting career and rejecting her contention that she was instrumental in lining up the $300,000 "Kill Bill" role, she responded with a devastating counterattack. In a sworn declaration, an excerpt of which you'll find below, Marina accused Carradine of "deviant sexual behavior which was potentially deadly" and alleged that he was involved in an "incestuous relationship with a very close family member." She added that Carradine and the unnamed relative admitted the taboo relationship, but that her "pleas for him to get counseling in regards to this matter were ignored and he wanted no part in the healing process the other person needed in order to get closure." Vicki Roberts, David Carradine's lawyer, called the allegations "highly inflammatory and false" and said they "have no place in a civilized society." She added that the sworn declaration--which TSG found sitting in the court file--was supposed to have been sealed by an April court order. Marina Carradine told TSG that she stands by the allegations in her February declaration, which she said she never sought to publicize and agreed to have sealed at the request of her ex-husband's counsel. David Carradine, who has a long history of alcohol abuse, arrests, and bizarre behavior, was married to Marina for nearly four years. (4 pages)
