Another Man Denies A Lewinsky Relationship

OCTOBER 28--Despite tabloid reports, a New York journalist wants to make it clear: he is not having a sexual relationship with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky. Responding to an October 24 New York Post gossip item identifying him as Monica's latest squeeze, Perry van der Meer, 40, contends that he is not the former White House intern's new boyfriend and does not go on "romantic strolls" with her. In a letter seeking a Post correction, David Korzenik, van der Meer's lawyer, notes that his client "lives with his longtime girlfriend," and that the couple considers Lewinsky a "good friend." But as for reportedly getting "touchy-feely" with Lewinsky, 31, at a recent Wilco concert, Korzenik says it never happened--and actually provides an alibi for van der Meer for that night. The attorney's letter, a copy of which you'll find below, notes that van der Meer does not intend to sue, but seeks a review of the gossip story (and a possible correction of the tab's "erroneous reporting").
