Warning Becomes Electra

SEPTEMBER 12--Media representatives covering a New York City underwear promotion last night were warned that they would be fined at least $25,000 if they took unauthorized photos of Carmen Electra, the event's star. Attendees at a runway show for 2(x)ist were required to sign the below legal agreement limiting their coverage of the event, which featured Electra performing in a brief aerial show at Manhattan's Metropolitan Pavilion. The waiver, presented to journalists by the underwear firm's public relations representatives, threatened a five-figure levy for 'each breach' of the agreement (so, presumably, four photos would set a paparazzi back $100,000). While the 'celebrity guest' is not named in the waiver, press were told before the event that Electra was the star performing in the Fashion Week show (which she did for a few minutes, according to one journalist present).
