Dr. Jules Lusman, who specialized in laser treatments and hair transplants, today (12/6) had his license revoked by California's medical board.
According to Winona Ryder's probation report, Lusman (who is incorrectly ID'd as "Dr. Lessman" in that document) was the subject of an investigation by the Medical Board of California, which probed whether Lusman was overprescribing narcotics to patients, "many of them celebrities."
As part of the state investigation, agents executed search warrants at the home and office of Lusman, a 1977 medical graduate of the University of Cape Town. In December 1986, South African regulators found Lusman guilty of "disgraceful conduct" for making improper prescriptions. (1 page)
