JANUARY 16--Whew, that reconciliation between pop singer Aaron Carter and his mom came just in time. Last month, the 16-year-old performer (and younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick) claimed that mom Jane swiped more than $100,000 from his bank account and, as a result, the teenager was seeking legal emancipation. The Carters, though, buried the hatchet Sunday night--which worked out swell for Jane, since she needed Aaron to bail her out of a Florida jail Wednesday morning. Seems that Jane, 44, used a brick to break into the Marathon home of her former husband Robert (dad of Aaron and Nick) and proceeded to attack her ex's 29-year-old girlfriend, one Ginger Elrod. Jane Carter allegedly pulled Elrod out of bed--where she had been sleeping with Robert--and started beating her. Jane, pictured in the below Monroe County Sheriff's Office mug shot, is scheduled for a February 3 arraignment on the battery charge. (4 pages)
