Cops: Woman Threatened Husband With Gun When He Returned Home After Night At Da Vinci's Strip Club

Angered that her husband spent last night at a strip club, a Florida woman allegedly threatened him with a handgun upon his 3 AM return to their home, police report.

When William Barnard, 53, walked through the door of his Bradenton residence, his wife Geraldine, 52, “had a Silver and Black handgun pointed at him,” according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.

Barnard, who had been at the Da Vinci’s gentlemen’s club, said that while he was initially in fear for his life, he concluded that his wife “was not capable of knowing how to fire” the weapon (which belonged to him).

After taking the gun from his wife, Barnard called 911.

When questioned by deputies, Geraldine admitted that she “pointed the gun at the victim but it would not work,” noted investigators, who added “The defendant also admitted she was angry at the victim for being at the strip club.”

Geraldine was arrested for aggravated assault, a felony, and booked into the county jail, where she posed for the above mug shot. Bail has yet to be set for Barnard, who is scheduled for an August 9 court hearing.
